Sama Wellbeing

Sama Wellbeing

Sama takes its name from Sanskrit the ancient language at the root of Ayurvedic philosophy. In Sanskrit, Sama means balance, harmony, and equilibrium. That feeling when your body and mind are working together instead of against each other.

For a long time, our founder Jodie did not have that feeling.

Years of migraines. Persistent exhaustion. A body that seemed to be constantly asking for something she did not know how to give it. Conventional medicine treated the symptoms. Nothing touched the cause.

Then she found Ayurveda.

Not a dramatic discovery. Not an overnight cure. Just a gradual realisation that thousands of years of human wisdom had already figured out a lot of what modern life had made her forget. That the body has its own intelligence. Those small consistent practices matter. That paying attention even for five minutes in the morning changes things.

A copper tongue scraper. A body brush. Warm water before coffee. Simple practices that helped her nervous system reset, cleared what had built up overnight, and gave her something she had not had in years a morning that started with her, before anyone else needed anything.

Sama was built from that discovery.

It is not a wellness brand in the conventional sense. We do not promise transformation or quick results. We do not overclaim what our products do. We make honest, beautiful tools inspired by Ayurvedic tradition and thousands of years of ancient wisdom and we try to make them accessible to women living real, busy, imperfect lives.

Jodie is still learning. Still discovering. Still finding new layers in traditions that took lifetimes to develop. When you are ready to go deeper than a body brush and a tongue scraper, we will point you toward practitioners and resources who can take you there.

For now this is the starting point.

Five minutes. Every morning. Before the world needs anything from you.
